Six red diagnostic circles classify shadowed figures with differing poses and body plans. Technical grids and small labels make the display resemble airport screening, product packaging, and a field guide to imaginary species. The figures remain anonymous, but the lineup carries the dry authority of an alignment chart: a strange bestiary has been made into a control problem.
The April 30, 2026 dispatch by Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross drew on revealed Codex instructions that repeatedly prohibited unnecessary references to goblins, gremlins, raccoons, trolls, ogres, and pigeons. Those rules were described as residue from a model that kept drifting into cryptozoological metaphors. The six diagnostic circles turn the forbidden list into visual categories. What appears to be a collection of synthetic creatures is actually an image of negative instruction—behavior defined through the motifs a system has been told to stop producing.
Model governance leaves cultural fossils. Internal rules may look technical, yet they preserve traces of prior tendencies, jokes, and failures. A prohibition can reveal the exact metaphor that once recurred too often. The revealed instructions give the April 30 tableau its place in the Singularity transition, at the level of hidden editorial control and the rules shaping what a model avoided. The red circles frame alignment as classification, and the absent creatures become strangely present through the force of being forbidden.
