This six-panel work is an exhibition invitation and should be read as one. Each cinematic frame opens a different front in the same month-long program: a storm beside an orbital array, a networked control room, an autonomous vehicle, coordinated drone formations, domestic robotics, and a humanoid running on a body of its own. Arranged as a grid, the images resemble a program card for February 2026. Their shared proposition is that intelligence is moving decisively out of software alone and into climate systems, coordination, mobility, defense, the home, and the body. The title, You Are Invited to February 2026, is therefore active source material. The standalone work comes from the exhibition invitation and previews Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross’s February sequence rather than illustrating one newsletter item. Its montage structure allows six domains of physical AI to coexist without pretending they arose from a single event. The grid’s separation is as important as its unity: each domain remains recognizable, but the invitation asks the viewer to see simultaneous movement across all six rather than one technology advancing in isolation. Storm, control room, vehicle, drones, household machines, and runner become chapters of one imminent transition. That curatorial distinction matters: this is the threshold card through which viewers enter the month’s archive. It announces the field that the dated Welcome works will then examine one report at a time. As a record of the movement toward the Singularity, the invitation preserves the month’s horizon of expectation—the point when intelligence was being understood as infrastructure and action across the physical world. The panels do not offer one forecast to verify later. They establish the categories through which February’s accelerating events were about to be seen.
