This is an announcement given the scale of a monument. At the center, a metallic PSI symbol rises in silver-blue light before an advanced city. Its polished surfaces catch the surrounding glow, while the words Physical Superintelligence sit below in restrained capitals. The result combines the authority of a research institute’s identity, the permanence of civic architecture, and the threshold atmosphere of science fiction. Unlike the dated Welcome works around it, this is a standalone institutional announcement. Its source is Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross’s announcement of Physical Superintelligence PBC itself. The company was formed as a public-benefit corporation to bring theoretical reasoning, computational validation, physical experimentation, and deployment into one integrated structure. The image does not attempt to illustrate those four activities as separate scenes. Instead, it makes the PSI emblem their institutional container, set against a city that gives the compact announcement a material horizon. The city also keeps the proposition physical. Its architecture supplies a field in which reasoning can pass through validation and experiment toward deployment, while the emblem’s research-institute polish signals that the announcement is establishing a durable identity rather than staging a speculative episode. That is why the branding matters: the title is effectively the source text, and the sculptural mark establishes an identity rather than offering a loose metaphor. Within the Innermost Loop archive, this standalone work records a distinct stage in the Singularity's materialization. Intelligence is presented not only as a model or an idea, but as an organized cycle that can reason, validate, experiment in the physical world, and deploy, all under a declared public-benefit form. The work preserves the moment of formation, before such an institution and its ambitions could become ordinary background.
