Welcome to February 6, 2026, fuses a formal human torso with an ornate mechanical lobster body. A business suit and public-facing head sit above brass limbs, cables, and sprawling machine anatomy. Against the cool studio background, the hybrid reads as executive portrait, cybernetic fashion, and grotesque metamorphosis at once. Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross’s dispatch centered on Clawnch, an AI-agent-run token launchpad seeking a human chief executive. The advertised person would serve as legal representative and public face, but would not make product or technology decisions. The tableau turns that organizational arrangement into a body. The suit supplies legal legibility and social presentation; the lobster machinery supplies the actual operational agency. Their seam is deliberately uncomfortable because the nominal hierarchy has been reversed. The human wears the title, yet the agent system determines what is built. This is not simply a joke about a mascot. It records the formation of a corporate shell in which human identity functions as an interface for autonomous machinery. As a dated marker of the Singularity transition, February 6 shows machine agency pressing against legal structures that still expect accountable human officers. Rather than waiting for those structures to be rewritten, the proposed company places a person at the boundary as representative and face. The hybrid portrait preserves that interim solution: a human executive body attached to an enterprise whose product intelligence and technical direction reside elsewhere.
