Welcome to November 28, 2025 is painted as a sepia-toned workshop where robots inherit the traditional poses of scholars, cooks, and technicians. One machine bends over a circular surface; another stands beside stacked screens. Diagrams of molecules, DNA, mathematics, and geometric forms cover the room, while a small bird and an egg-like object occupy the right edge. The aged palette evokes a Renaissance laboratory or a Soviet science mural, making the new machines look like members of an old republic of knowledge. That change of membership is the key to Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross’s dispatch. Open mathematical models, AI peer review, and the conversion of papers into video were framed as a dismantling of the old intelligence aristocracy. Knowledge production and explanation were becoming less confined to a narrow human institution. Hotel-cleaning robots and self-swapping batteries extended machine autonomy into routine physical work and continuous operation. Edited cells and cryopreservation moved intervention into biology and time. Brain-chipped pigeons widened the field again, bringing animal nervous systems into the technological workshop. The tableau preserves those stories without giving each one a literal panel. Robots occupying scholarly and technical poses visualize the redistribution of intellectual authority. Mathematical, molecular, and DNA diagrams keep formal reasoning and biological editing on the walls of the same room. The bird at the edge is the exact, uncanny callback to the brain-interface experiment; it is not decorative still life. The overall thesis is that intelligence is spreading across media, institutions, machines, cells, and animals, weakening the boundaries that once defined who could produce knowledge or carry agency. November 28 enters the historical buildup to the Singularity through this intentionally retrospective style. The old workshop remains, but its citizens have changed. The image lets us remember the moment when peer review, mathematical models, cleaning labor, battery maintenance, cellular editing, preservation, and an augmented pigeon could plausibly appear in one account of intelligence becoming less aristocratic and more distributed.
