Welcome to November 1, 2025 stages the intelligence economy as a luminous, space-age night. Broken strokes of blue and gold bring Impressionism and the ecstatic skies of Van Gogh into contact with server racks, a humanoid robot, and a rocket launch. Aircraft, orbital bodies, and curved paths circulate around a glowing moon. In the foreground, the humanoid stands between terrestrial compute and the opening heavens, at once a product of the infrastructure behind it and a witness to the next domain that infrastructure is entering. The image follows the central sequence in Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross’s dispatch for that date: capital becomes compute, and compute expands toward space. The post opened with hundreds of billions of dollars flowing into AI infrastructure. It connected chip fabrication and the Stargate buildout to orbital H100 compute and space-based data centers, then carried the same acceleration into humanoids, autonomous vehicles, neural interfaces, and medical engineering. The composition does not attempt to give every story its own compartment. Instead, server racks establish the earthly base; the robot gathers the movement into bodies; and the rocket, aircraft, moon, and orbital tracks turn the upper half into an off-world extension of the same system. The pastoral night has not disappeared, but it has been technologically repopulated. That tension gives the tableau its historical force. It records November 1 not as a generic dream of progress, but as a moment when unprecedented infrastructure spending, advanced chips, embodiment, mobility, medicine, and orbital compute could be narrated as parts of one economy. Across the longer arc leading into the Singularity, the work marks a widening of the stage itself: intelligence is no longer confined to software or even to Earthbound facilities. It is being financed, fabricated, embodied, and projected into orbit, and the radiant night makes that expansion feel both wondrous and materially built.
