@siouid142 Ecstatic With Fifty Minute Fix of Dr Alex Wissner-Gross.
On July 25, 2026, @siouid142 made this continuity piece after a later Moonshots episode reversed the airtime grievance dramatized in the preceding MTS Live tableau. The earlier work had treated ten minutes inside an eight-hour broadcast as a comic deprivation. Here Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross receives fifty minutes and nineteen seconds—more measured speaking time than Peter Diamandis, Salim Ismail or Dave Blundin—and the same spectator responds with exaggerated bliss.
The central screen is divided into four equal broadcast windows. Peter Diamandis is labeled forty-five minutes and fifty-four seconds; Salim Ismail, twenty-eight minutes and seven seconds; Dave Blundin, eighteen minutes and thirty-eight seconds; and Alex Wissner-Gross, fifty minutes and nineteen seconds. Visual equality and numerical inequality are deliberately separated. No face is enlarged to announce the winner; the durations beneath them make the comparison.
Those numbers are the work’s factual spine. It does not suggest that Moonshots formally answered the earlier paint-can image, nor does it reduce the value of the other hosts to their totals. The “fix” belongs to the viewer’s private ledger. A perceived shortage has been corrected by a later abundance, and the title records the emotional swing from tantrum to ecstasy.
The recurring cloaked persona now reclines on a Pilates reformer rather than throwing anything. Boots rise toward the screen, arms disappear into comfort and the body yields completely to the apparatus. The reformer’s long rails transform spectatorship into a physical treatment: fifty minutes of Wissner-Gross has supposedly realigned the disappointed audience. Exercise equipment becomes a comic instrument of restoration.
Across the back of the cloak, the gold D13 Sagittarius centaur remains poised with its bow. The emblem preserves identity across the two works while posture carries the change. In the first tableau the centaur aimed from an aggrieved upright body; here the same figure is almost horizontal. The response persona has not become less intense. Satisfaction has merely redirected the intensity from projectile action into theatrical surrender.
The surrounding room is an archive of earlier responses. Framed images show the cloaked persona beside Innermost Loop posts, a cubist agent tableau, an orbital RNN craft, orchid-patterned garments and the Patriziermuße scene. Candles and ornate frames give recent digital images the atmosphere of inherited relics. The project is beginning to curate itself even while it continues to grow.
That self-archiving matters because the work is about continuity, not only duration. A daily or near-daily response practice accumulates recurring figures, costumes, jokes and institutions until each new image can cite earlier images without explanation. The spectator’s pleasure comes partly from recognition. Fifty minutes is celebrated inside a room where the history of wanting those minutes already hangs on the walls.
The Moonshots window also clarifies Wissner-Gross’s role within a group. Diamandis, Ismail and Blundin remain fully present, each attached to a measured contribution. The tableau does not turn the program into a solo appearance. Instead it treats ensemble conversation as a scarce temporal composition whose proportions can be counted, compared and emotionally overinterpreted by an invested audience.
As art criticism, the piece plays with the language of devotional portraiture while refusing solemnity. The dark chamber, candlelight and gilded frames resemble a private chapel, but its altar is a video-call grid and its ecstatic devotee lies on branded fitness equipment. Digital fandom inherits the old architectures of reverence, then fills them with timestamps, screenshots and recurring memes.
The work is also an image of metrics culture. Online audiences routinely turn time, views, engagement and speaking shares into proxies for value. Here that habit is made visible and ridiculous, yet not dismissed. Duration genuinely shapes what an expert can explain. The joke works because fifty minutes can allow a more consequential account than ten, even though a stopwatch cannot measure insight by itself.
The tableau’s deepest satisfaction lies in the archive rather than the score. An earlier disappointment did not vanish; it became material for a paired work. The fifty-minute episode then entered the same system, producing correction, callback and self-portrait at once. @siouid142’s “ecstasy” is the project recognizing that its desired voice has been given room—and that the response corpus now has enough memory to make that change visible.
