G Strings Turned into Computronium.
On July 19, 2026, @siouid142 transformed Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross’s Innermost Loop into a pizza-box satire about models, capital, infrastructure and delivery. The title contributes an intimate pun: the smallest strings of clothing become computronium, matter optimized for computation. But the visible work does not show a loom or smart fabric. It shows the day divided into slices and promises that the future is “evenly delivered.”
The box lid reads THE INNERMOST LOOP and FREE DELIVERY WITHIN CLAUDESYLVANIA—OFFER DURING SINGULARITY. The phrase answers the dispatch’s forecast that “All will be right in Claudesylvania” when the next Anthropic model arrives. Frontier intelligence becomes a local pizza offer: enormous in infrastructure, ordinary in consumption and governed by the neighborhood boundaries of a proprietary platform.
At center, a small round announces WELCOME TO JULY 19, 2026. Eight surrounding slices turn the dispatch’s actors into toppings. Moonshot AI and its chief executive Zhilin Yang occupy one wedge. The day’s opening argument distinguished a reasoning model—a brain in a fish tank—from an agent, the same brain wired into the world. Moonshot’s ambition that K2 help build K3 gives the pizza its recursive dough.
GDP MAXXING occupies another slice, translating national competition into the slang of optimization. Chamath Palihapitiya warned that American token prices could reverse Cold War economics if rivals bought comparable intelligence for pennies. His Social Capital appears elsewhere on the pizza. The arrangement makes model pricing inseparable from state power: a rate card can function as industrial strategy.
Perplexity receives its own wedge because its chief executive recalled how Linux and commodity hardware helped destroy Sun Microsystems’ value. The story becomes a warning to closed laboratories whose apparent moats may dissolve when open weights become good enough. Alibaba’s Qwen and open chip software sharpened the argument. On this pizza, open source is not garnish; it is the force cutting the pie into cheaper pieces.
Relativity Space, MIT Management and the New York City Mayor’s Office extend the image beyond models. The dispatch moved through DeepLoop research, intelligence infrastructure, permitting battles and a mayoral proposal requiring landlords to disclose AI-altered listing photographs. Academic architecture, rockets, real estate and city administration all enter the same delivery system. The future arrives through zoning and disclosure as much as benchmarks.
HumansFirst occupies a large slice at left. The organization coordinated protests against data centers across many states amid low public enthusiasm for having one built nearby. Its placement interrupts the triumphant box copy. “Evenly delivered” sounds like universal access, but physical infrastructure is never distributed evenly. Communities receive land use, water demands, power lines and noise while distant users receive cheap tokens.
The pizza brands placed outside the box supply the closing metaphor. Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns appear on separate personal pizzas beneath the legs of a woman wearing a jeweled GoGo Girls Ohio G-string. Wissner-Gross’s dispatch noted that major pizza chains were losing their moat to delivery apps: stores closing, ownership changing and sales declining. Even Big Pizza can be disintermediated by the interface that delivers it.
The G-string makes the title visible at the body’s most reduced garment. Computronium normally evokes planets or vast amounts of matter reorganized for thought; here the idea shrinks to rhinestones and elastic. The joke is deliberately indecorous because it punctures the sublime rhetoric of the Singularity. If computation reaches every substrate, no object is too humble, commercial or intimate to be enlisted.
The phrase EVENLY DELIVERED revises William Gibson’s observation that the future is already here but unevenly distributed. Wissner-Gross’s dispatch closed by changing “distributed” to “delivered,” linking frontier intelligence to Big Pizza’s crisis. @siouid142 pushes the line further: the box claims even delivery while the composition visibly contradicts it. Some figures own slices, some protest the kitchen, and some become advertising underfoot.
As contemporary history painting, G Strings Turned into Computronium turns a dense technical day into a commercial still life. It preserves recursion, open weights, token geopolitics, data-center opposition, academic research, municipal disclosure and collapsing restaurant moats inside one absurd meal. The work’s argument is not that intelligence is pizza. It is that every supposedly immaterial frontier eventually acquires a box, a price, a delivery radius and a body asked to carry it.
