Atelier Algorithmique – Maison de la Boucle la Plus Profonde – Salim Ismail. Atelier Algorithmique – House Innermost Loop – Salim Ismail. Dated June 1, 2026 in the 70 Clock archive, this portrait comes from the Moonshots fashion and environment exchange rather than from the Innermost Loop dispatch published that day. @siouid142 asked that Salim Ismail remain recognizable in a warm home-office broadcast while the wall images and a wearable openexo projection carried the specific story. The work is therefore an exercise in distributed identity: one sitter appears as person, traveler, puzzle and organizational avatar. Ismail sits at a wooden desk in a partly unbuttoned shirt, with a microphone and water glass in front of him. The ease of the clothing and warmth of the shelves resist the temptation to turn every technical portrait into metallic armor. MOONSHOTS remains visible at upper right, while books, globes, crystals, small photographs and rocket models preserve the density of a real personal room. The future enters this domestic setting without erasing it. Three framed panels structure the wall. At left, Ismail appears in a leather jacket beneath the title THE ROAD WARRIOR. The cinematic language turns constant movement into a heroic persona, but it also carries exhaustion and exposure: a road warrior is defined by the fact that home is repeatedly elsewhere. The poster is not merely travel branding. It dramatizes mobility as a role the sitter must perform. The center panel states THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME. Its familiar phrase supplies an emotional anchor between the two more spectacular images. Home is not shown as the opposite of global work; it is the point from which that work becomes intelligible. Placing the sentence above the seated body aligns the actual room with the declared value, allowing domestic stability to hold the composition together. At right, WHERE IN THE WORLD IS SALIM? heads a crowded search image. Its visual grammar recalls puzzles in which one figure must be found among many near-distractions. The panel transforms a travel schedule and distributed public presence into a problem of recognition. If a person is constantly represented across events, organizations and screens, finding the biological sitter becomes an increasingly conceptual task. The blue hologram emerging from his wrist gives that problem a new body. It is a four-armed armored figure with the openexo name across its chest, projected from a substantial gauntlet. The creation exchange explicitly required the same face to persist across sitter, poster and hologram. That continuity matters: the avatar is not a generic robot assigned to the organization. It is another form of Salim, capable of occupying the symbolic space between personal agency and a networked institution. Four arms make the projection look able to coordinate more work than one human body can perform. Armor gives distributed organization a protective, heroic shell. Yet the avatar hovers only a short distance above the wrist and throws blue light onto the hand that projects it. Its power remains relational. The human carries the interface; the interface amplifies the human; the organizational emblem acquires a face through both. The insistence on the same likeness across all these forms is a quiet safeguard against generic futurism. It lets the viewer track continuity while medium and role change. The seated face belongs to conversation, the poster face to public mythology and the projected face to organizational agency. Recognition becomes the thread that keeps multiplication from turning into substitution. Warm wood and cold holographic blue organize the tension. The room represents continuity, memory and books accumulated over time. The projection represents portability, replication and action at a distance. Rockets and a globe connect those poles without resolving them. The portrait’s question is not whether home or movement wins, but how a single identity is maintained while circulating among them. As contemporary portraiture, Atelier Algorithmique – House Innermost Loop – Salim Ismail makes multiplicity visible without treating it as fragmentation. The Road Warrior, the home declaration, the search puzzle and the openexo figure are different representational technologies, each claiming to show the same person. Their coexistence exposes how leadership already depends on avatars long before a hologram is physically deployed: posters, brands, calls and organizational roles all extend a likeness beyond the room. The work’s speculative device simply makes that extension luminous. At the center remains a relaxed human body, seated at home, speaking through a microphone while several versions of him prepare to travel.
