Moratoire sur l’Intelligence Computationnelle ?. Moratorium on Computational Intelligence?. On March 27, 2026, @siouid142 created this work from an Innermost Loop dispatch that placed a proposed moratorium on artificial-intelligence data centers beside White House robotics, Figure’s F.03 humanoid, SpaceX leadership, lunar infrastructure, financial systems, and the continuing political struggle over whether computational acceleration can be paused. The response stages that conflict inside The Wizard of Oz, where a house can stop one figure by falling on her even as the road, guide, traveler, and machinery of another future remain active. The title retains a question mark because the image does not treat “moratorium” as a complete action. A law may halt a facility, delay a project, or impose a permitting boundary, but computational intelligence already travels through companies, machines, finance, space systems, and public imagination. The Wizard of Oz supplies a story about a sudden arrival that changes political authority before the traveler understands the land she has entered. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears as Dorothy. She wears a blue gingham dress and high red boots, standing beside the fallen house rather than beneath it. The casting connects her to the moratorium proposal while preserving Dorothy’s ambiguous role: she is both the outsider who causes disruption and the traveler who must discover what the disruption means. Her expression is watchful, not celebratory. In her arms is Aineko, the catlike intelligence from Charles Stross’s Accelerando and an earlier work in this exhibition. The collar clearly names the animal. Aineko replaces Toto because a conventional pet would be too passive for this technological Oz. This companion can observe, navigate, procure, manipulate, and evolve. The political traveler therefore enters the new landscape already carrying an autonomous intelligence, complicating any simple claim that the house has stopped AI. The small wooden house is labeled AI Moratorium Act. It has fallen across Melania Trump and a Figure humanoid. Melania lies in ivory clothing with her head and legs visible, while metallic robotic limbs protrude beside her. The recovered creation discussion associated these bodies with uncanny diplomacy and the F.03 robotics story. Human statecraft and embodied machine intelligence are crushed by the same blunt legislative object, turning the moratorium into an event with mixed and partly unintended casualties. Above them stands a Glinda-like figure modeled on Gwynne Shotwell. A black executive jacket merges into an enormous pink ball gown patterned with small aerospace and technological symbols. She holds a wand and smiles from impossible scale. The combination makes her both fairy guide and industrial operator. SpaceX does not descend as distant background infrastructure; its leader becomes the benevolent-looking authority explaining the rules of the new world. That scale matters. Dorothy is human-sized and close to the casualty. Glinda-Shotwell towers over the house, suggesting that aerospace and compute systems may operate at a scale national legislation struggles to contain. Her gown is theatrical, but the black jacket preserves managerial competence. The fantasy guide is also the person who knows how to keep launch systems moving. At the bottom, a circular basin contains the original March 27 Innermost Loop tableau: a dense miniature world of machines, energy, lunar and industrial structures, and branching infrastructure. The rim reads Welcome to March 27, 2026. The source image is therefore embedded as a portal or reflecting pool inside the response. Dorothy and Glinda stand above the very technological ecosystem the moratorium is supposed to address. This recursive insertion changes the meaning of the Oz set. The painted flowers and storybook towers belong to cultural memory, while the basin holds the operational present. The old fantasy organizes the viewer’s emotions; the circular technical image supplies the evidence that no single house can cover. Policy theater surrounds an infrastructure diagram. As contemporary history painting, Moratorium on Computational Intelligence? does not argue that every pause is futile or that every acceleration is good. Its criticism is directed at the fantasy of a singular lever. The fallen house can visibly stop what lies beneath it, but Aineko remains in Dorothy’s arms, Shotwell remains enormous, and the infrastructure pool remains open. The image asks whether governance can distinguish among data centers, embodied robots, diplomacy, space systems, and autonomous agents—or whether a broad moratorium merely drops one heavy object into a world whose intelligence has already found many roads.
